Status as of 3.18.07:
Nothing has changed, really. Now the car is in deep storage, next to my tire pile. It still needs a starter, but now it needs some wiring replaced. And it needs the mice evicted. The car is now slated for a Ford 5.0 and T-5 swap this summer. I figure bang for buck wise, you can't beat that. Mass air EFI, a 5 speed selectagear, more bolt ons than you could imagine...how could you lose?
Old Stuff:
Stupid piece of crap brown car. A 1985 Buick LeSabre Collector's Edition. Olds 307 V8, slushy 200-4R automatic overdrive trans, unpleasantly geared open rear end. This will someday be a nice musclecar. Sporting something along the lines of either a big block Buick, or a big block Mopar, as funds allow. Then a solid 4 speed manual, and 3.73:1 "Positraction" rear end. Or perhaps a Detroit Locker. That might work better to withstand all the planned nitrous and/or boost. I'm thinkin low 12's. And keeping the crappy paint.
